Easy Crochet Mini Skirt Free Pattern and Tutorial
Crochet Moss Stitch Mini Skirt

The moss stitch is one of my most favorite stitches. I really think it is a very beautiful stitch that provides a gorgeous texture well also being beginner friendly. Another thing that I really love about the moss stitch is that It works up very quickly. This is because the moss stitch is made with a * single crochet, chain 1, skip 1 * repeat. So, when I designed this moss stitch bralette, I really wanted to make a matching bottom. And this is why I designed his crochet mini skirt featuring moss stitch.

Key
- ch – chain crochet
- sk – skip
- ch sp – chain space
- st – stitch
- sl st – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- blo sc – back loop only single crochet
Materials
- E Hook / 3.5 mm Hook
- F Hook / 3.75 mm Hook
- 600-850 yards of medium weight 4 yarn
Sizing
- XS (S, M, L, 1X)
XS | S | M | L | 1X |
33-34 in | 35-36 in | 38-40 in | 42-44 in | 46-48 in |
Crochet Waistband
***Begin with E Hook / 3.5 mm Hook
Foundation: Ch 13
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in every st across. In total 12 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 1 blo sc in every st across.
***Repeat row 2 until band stretches to desired hip size length, until 34 (36, 40, 44, 48) inches OR specific inches in between sizes if exact measurements are known.

***Crochet band together by placing 1 sc or sl st in each st of both ends of the band.

Crochet Skirt
***Turn to work along sides of rows.
Row 1: Ch 1, 1 sc in side of every row across. Different yarns have different stretch capabilities so there may be different amount of rows to work into thus a different amount of stitches in row 1. Count how many stitches you have in row 1.
Row 2 & 3: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in every st across while spreading out increases to reach 202 (212, 234, 258, 282) sc by the end of row 3, sl st in sc. Everyone potentially had a different amount sc in row 1 because different yarns will stretch differently in the ribbing.

***Switch to F Hook / 3.75 mm Hook.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, *sc, ch 1, sk 1*, repeat *across, sl st in sc. The last st should be a ch 1 before sl st.
***Repeat row 4 until row 73 (74, 75, 75, 77) is complete for mini skirt OR until desired length. Fasten off.
