Crochet Ruffle Bandeau Bikini Top
I got a request from a Youtube subscriber to make a really cute crochet bandeau top with ruffles. This was a bit of a challenge but was so much fun to make.

I started by crocheting one elongated bra cup based on my size. And then a a few rows of single crochets at the side of the cup.

Next, I crocheted a ruffle border on one side of the cup. The ruffles are made with double treble crochets and a lace border on top of the double treble crochet row. I stopped halfway (leaving the 3 middle stitches open).

Then, I crocheted the second cup and attached the two cups together in the final row or the second cup.

After that, I crocheted the ruffle border on the second cup kitty corner of the other ruffles on the other cup. I left the three middle stitches open like before.

From there, I crocheted the remaining ruffle in a continuous row, crossing of the middle into the other cup. It looks super pretty at this point and you would think all you need to do is add your string to the back. However this needed additional support to stay up and secure on the body. So I made a string for the back as well hidden ties on the inside of the bikini cups to help the bandeau fight gravity and stay up.
