Crochet Gypsy Maxi Dress | Part 1: Crochet Maxi Skirt (Video Tutorial)
I was so pleased at my first attempt to make a crochet dress! I started off with the maxi skirt. Click here for Part 2 of the Crochet Gypsy Maxi Dress tutorial. My foundation chain for the green dress was about 10 inches longer than my natural waist measurement so that it could be fuller. Shown in the video, the blue dress is a little less full. For the top portion of the maxi skirt, I used basic stitches including double treble crochets, double crochets and single crochets. The top portion of the skirt is crocheted in the round until I was ready for my slit.
Once the maxi skirt reached above my knee, I began the Shell and Coral Stitch for the remainder of the length of the skirt.
